POLICIES - FAQs

Q:  WHAT ARE YOUR  SHOWROOM HOURS
A:  Carrington’s is open 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM Tuesday through Friday and 10:00 – 3:00 PM Saturdays. Closed on Sunday & Monday
Q:  ARE APPOINTMENTS NECESSARY TO PLAN AN EVENT?
A:  We are always open to you stopping by to plan an event but appointments would be very much appreciated.  We want to give you our full attention.  Please call our showroom at 704-833-1425. 
Q:  WHEN MAY I PICKUP AND RETURN RENTAL ITEMS TO CARRINGTON’S
A:  Our Customer Service Department is open from 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM weekdays of operation, and 10:00 AM -  3:00 PM Saturday.  Please bring a copy of your rental agreement when picking up and dropping off.
Q:  WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT POLICY?
A:  We ask that all payments be made with a Credit Card, Cashier’s Check or Cash.  All payment information should be provided to your Sales & Service Associate, and charges will be made prior to delivery or customer pickup.  If any additional charges must be applied for missing and/or damaged items, your Sales & Service Associate will contact you.
Q:  WHAT ARE YOUR DEPOSIT AND REFUND POLICIES? 
A: 1/3 deposit is required when your order is placed. This amount is applied to the balance and payable  at scheduling. We are unable hold equipment or an event date without a deposit. 
Carrington's is unable to accept "personal or individual" checks
Any and all pricing quotes are subject to change unless a deposit is made in advance.  We guarantee pricing for ten (10) business days. A Deposit is the only way to guarantee pricing.
Additionally, discounts may be offered with our inital proposal for an event.  A written proposal price is only guaranteed for ten (10) business days.  ANY changes, terminates all discounts without notice.
30% is withheld for cancellations, seven days prior to an event; 50% is withheld for cancellations, 24 hours prior to the event; 50% non-refundable fee will be charged for ice sculptures cancelled three (3) weeks prior to an event.
No refunds are given for special order items.  Check with a Carrington’s representative to determine which items are “special orders.”
Cancellation or postponement of an event terminates a prior Agreement and does not guarantee the same fees for goods and services for future events. 
Late Fees are paid at the full daily rental rate.

Inclement weather/Rain Policy:
In the event of inclement weather, causing the cancellation or postponement of an event, Carrington’s will reschedule the rental for a mutually convenient date within six (6) months provided that Carrington’s has been notified prior to departure from its warehouse.  Once rental equipment is in transit, the total rental cost is due and payable upon arrival.  Carrington’s does not schedule equipment for a “rain date” unless customer has rented the equipment for the additional date and agreed to pay for same.
Should inclement weather cause a cancellation, during an event, the same “inclement weather/rain policy” applies.  Carrington’s is not liable for inclement weather or acts of God.

Q:  WHEN SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER?
A:  Generally, equipment reservations should be placed as soon as you know the details of your event to ensure the availability of your desired rental items.  All orders should be finalized 72 hours prior to delivery or pickup.
Q:  DOES CARRINGTON’S PROVIDE FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS AND WEDDING CAKES?
A:  We do not provide "full" floral or bakery services.  Our floral arrangements are unique and created especially for your event.  We are leaving full floral and baking up to the talents of your local florist & baker.  We will be more than happy to suggest our "favorites."  Our "Local Favorites" click here.
Q: CAN RENTAL ITEMS BE PURCHASED?
A:  Yes.  All of our rental items are available for purchase
Q:  WHAT IS YOUR BROKEN AND/OR MISSING ITEMS POLICY?
A:  All rented items must be returned.  In the event rental items are missing and/or broken, you will be contacted by your Sales & Service Associate to arrange for their return.  If items cannot be returned, a “full” replacement charge will be assessed to the invoice.  Replacement charges vary by item and can be “very” expensive.  Did I mention “very” expensive?
Q:  HOW MAY I RECEIVE PRICING INFORMATION?
A: Please contact any of our Sales & Service Associates by phone or email us at www.carringtonshowroom.com.  We are always happy to help with any pricing questions you may have.
Q:  I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY ORDER DELIVERED.  HOW DOES THAT WORK?
A:  Deliveries must be scheduled with your Sales & Service Associate.  The minimum rental amount for which Carrington’s will delivery is $65.00.  Deliveries are made between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.  Deliveries are priced at $35.00 within a 15 mile radius of our showroom.  Thereafter, delivery fees are .35 cents for each additional mile.  Additional hourly fees apply for delivery, setup and pickups after 6:00 p.m.
Q:  DO I NEED TO CLEAN AND/OR WASH MY RENTAL ITEM AFTER I USE IT?
A:  No.  Part of renting equipment is to let us “do the dishes”.  All we ask is that
*  plates are scraped and wiped free of food and placed back into their crates. 
*  all other equipment should be placed back in the same container or rack in which it came. 
*  soiled and dry linens should be placed in the CLEAR plastic bags which have been provided. 
Please note: Wet tablecloths should be allowed to dry before being placed in the bags.
*  This rule does not, however, apply to “any” equipment rental (for example, Carnival Games, Karaoke Machines and Inflatable Bouncers).  We ask that you not allow food, drink, silly string or sharp objects near “any” equipment.


ICE SCULPTURES – FAQs

Q:  HOW LONG WILL THE ICE SCULPTURE LAST ON DISPLAY?
A:  Depending on the room’s temperature and the size of the sculpture, ice sculptures will stay “tip-top” for approximately 4 to 6 hours.
Q:  CAN I HAVE MY ICE SCULPTURE COLORED TO MATCH MY THEME?
A:  Yes, we can color your ice sculpture to match most color themes - just provide us with the requested color swatch.  We will do our very best to match it perfectly.
Q:  ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN COSTS?
A:   No, everything from sculpture production, delivery and coloring (if applicable) are included in the price?
Q:  WHERE WOULD I PLACE AN ICE SCULPTURE?
A:  There is no right or wrong answer here, It’s all a matter of personal taste.
For a special event try these suggestions:
  *  In a foyer during the reception hour
  *  One side of the bridal table or for a balanced look, on either side of the bridal table
  *  A buffet decoration to dress up a seafood / cold meat banquet
  *  Small inexpensive sculptures placed on each guest’s table
Q:  DO WE NEED TO STORE IT BEFORE THE EVENT?
A:   Not unless you have the facilities to store ice. We will deliver to your event half an hour before your guests arrive.
Q:  WHERE DOES THE MELTED ICE GO?
A:  It is collected in the drip tray which we provide.  At the end of the event, however, you must not leave the sculpture unattended and go home.  The drip tray must be emptied and the sculpture removed. Otherwise in the morning, water will be everywhere.
Q:  IF I CHANGE MY MIND, HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED TO PROVIDE A DIFFERENT SCULPTURE?

A:  We need four weeks notice for all sculptures. If you change your mind before the four weeks, we will change the order - no problem. If you change your mind after that a small fee may apply. If you change your mind and wish to cancel completely, there is a 30% cancellation fee.
Q:  HOW DO I PAY?
A:  On confirmation of your order, we require a 30% deposit which can be paid by cash, check or credit card.

The safety of your party depends on your explicit and total co-operation with our rental agreement and the safety guidelines within it.

  • Carrington’s has full public liability insurance for your protection 
  • We are insured for use in private residence, public areas (subject to their permission), and licensed areas such as hotels 
  • We successfully passed the rigorous inspection by the State of North Carolina and received approval as being safe and compliant. 
  • We test our inflatable bouncers regularly
  • All Sales & Service Associates are certified for Inflatable safety through the Event Planners Association
